Insurance people say that no one ever chooses a career in insurance. A connection, a situation, a circumstance – something happens that causes a random person to fall into an insurance career. And so it was with me…

I have a BA in Communications, and I was one of the top life insurance agents for MetLife during my first year in the business (and the trip to the Bahamas was lovely!). After a short stint at Nationwide, I worked for 10 years at an independent insurance agency near Chicago where I earned a CISR designation.
